It was back in 1977 that Allan Wolfe of Millville New Jersey, saw the need for a Cycling Club in Southern part of New Jersey. With a handful of friends in the Millville/Vineland area and with help from the League of American Bicyclists , he formed the South Jersey Wheelmen. During the past 41 years we have grown, and expanded to Cumberland, Cape May, Salem, Camden, Atlantic and Gloucester Counties.

The original purpose of the South Jersey Wheelmen was to serve the recreational and touring bicyclist, and we continue with that purpose today. Throughout the year we attempt to have club rides on weekends. During the summer we also work at having regular weekday rides. All rides are posted in advance in The Spoke'n Word. The distances and difficulty of each ride is noted in the newsletter. An effort is made to serve the ability of all members.

Join us at our meetings or on club rides - you'll find new bicycling friends and enjoy bicycling more than ever.
