4th of July - Ride/Picnic - Friday 7/4/25

me celebrate the 4th of July with SJW at Walt & Laurie Pettigrew’s. This picnic/BBQ will begin with a short bike ride then continue with some other fun things. The two route options are 11.4 mi (easy C pace) & 18.8 mi (C+ pace). Both start and finish at the Pettigrew’s. The routes have little traffic using mostly back roads. After the ride you can cool off with with some liquid refreshment, followed by the BBQ.

You are encouraged to bring a few bottles of your favorite (or unusual) craft beer. Be sure to “research” an interesting story about the beer itself or the journey you took to obtain the beer. Of course, “Alternative Facts” are welcome.

What’s the difference between a Special Club Ride and a Special Club Event ?
Of course both are “special”. Both also include a “ride” and a “meal”. The difference is who prepares the meal. At the special events our own renown chef Mary Miranda prepares a fabulous picnic. At the special rides we go to a restaurant, ice cream parlor or some other commerical establishment.
The rides are usually fairly short but longer options are available on some occasions.
