Vermont Trip

Regrettably we are canceling the 2024 trip. Hopefully we can start again in 2025.

Held in late August, our Vermont trip always has a good price, beautiful scenery, outstanding cycling, and great beer. It doesn't get any better than that. Click Special Club Events to read the details.

Our Club and our Rides
     We are a small club with about 50 members. Many of our members have been in the club for many years and have developed strong friendships. Each year we get an average of five new members. We do our best to make the new members feel welcome. Quite often a new member quickly fits in with the other members while enjoying our rides and social events.

     We do not have regular weekly rides. Instead we have “Speciality Rides” and “Special Events”. Both include a bike ride and usually something to eat or drink. The difference is who prepares the meal.  At the Speciality Rides we go to a restaurant, ice cream parlor or some other commercial establishment.  At the Special Events our own renown chef Mary Miranda prepares a fabulous picnic.  The rides are usually fairly short (15 – 20 miles) but longer options are available on some occasions.

     Along with the official club rides and events, many members do their own rides with other members.  This includes some who do long distance rides, others like to do shorter fast rides and still others enjoy trail biking.

     In addition to riding our bikes our club organizes our yearly Jersey Devil Century Ride. We also do a road litter cleanup 4 times a year. Club meetings are currently on an “as needed” bases.

Our big September Century ride, offers routes of

32 & 63 miles.  Along with the great routes we feature an outstanding “picnic” at the end of your ride complete with meatball sandwiches, hot dogs, baked beans, salads, baked good and a beautiful setting at the Thundergust area of Parvin St Park.
